During the process of doing all the labs for this project I really enjoyed the various AI generations I made that had animals performing everyday tasks like a human would. For my final project I decided to really embrace that theme and generate various images of animals doing task or jobs personified as humans. I used various glitch effects from fake user generated glitches in photoshop to a lot of pixel sorting, most images have a combination of both elements. The photos originally unglitched already give a weird/funny vibe as you know something is off and isn't quite right seeing animals doing things they normally wouldn't, the glitch affect further adds to this and creates another layer of fake and uneasy vibes further emphasizing the idea that these animals are doing things that they wouldn't in reality. I feel like I accomplished my goal with this project and created both an entertaining and comical serious of images and gifs as well as gave this feeling of something isn’t quite right. That even though a lot of the animals have very realistic qualities when compared with the glitch aesthetics the viewer is almost brought out of the matrix in a sense. The reality is shattered and something that was already clearly not set in reality has a further step outside of reality and a step more into a virtual electronic world. This also goes hand in hand with the fact these images were generated by AI, and completely electrical and coded algorithm generating these images, they were already set out of reality the glitch aesthetic helps to further emphasize that point.
